The Chatham News + Record is a weekly newspaper based in Siler City, North Carolina and serves the entire Chatham County community. The N + R has won many state level awards for local journalism and has been the recipient of the Facebook Journalism Project COVID-19 Local News Relief Fund Grant. As a news intern, I reported on general community news, written columns and contributed to “La Voz de Chatham” — a section of news coverage for the Spanish-speaking community in Chatham.
